This is a lovely two year old
Friesidale filly. She would be perfect for dressage/CT and Renaissance.
Velvet is a beautiful filly; gorgeous head,
big eyes, cute ears,lots of natural self carriage, great expression;
tons of Friesian mane. You can see how full and luxuriant her mane,
tail and feathers are already and she is just two years old!
She has the Friesian upright
front, with long elegant neck, short strong back.
Her hindquarters are powerful, nicely rounded
with long hip.
This power from behind gives her very deep
hocks, impulsion that lifts her front and powers her forward into
incredible suspension and extension. this filly is a stunning mover!
She has very good over-stride at the walk,
super deep hocks, well up under her when she moves.
She has lovely suspension and incredible extension (see video).
Her canter is a true three beat canter and
well balanced considering how young she is.
Her movement is fluid, flowing and elastic;
She is indeed a powerful mover, yet she is so
gentle and calm; which is exactly what one would
expect from a filly whose sire is Baron and
mother clydesdale.You know she's got to be a sweetheart, calm, gentle
and willing to work. She will be a lifelong friend, carrying you in
style and safety to the medals in the ring, enjoying a nice relaxed
trail ride with you, and being admired by all your friends.
Blue roans, (some call this a blue buckskin?)
are very rare color. Especially in Friesians; they really do attract
attention.(how many have you seen?)an extra bonus for those of you
interested in raising feathered foals, she would be an ideal
broodmare when you are ready to retire her from showing. Or breed her
to a saddlebred for a wonderful Georgian Grande foal!!!!
