Subject: Dessa
Hi,
Just wanted to send you some pictures of Dessa. She is doing
great and we just went to our first Horse Trial in about 2 years...I
have a 13 month-old daughter. Dessa was amazing. Just
wanted you to see how beautiful she is.
I bought Dessa as a 4 yo when I had been riding only 5 months. I
fell in love with her picture over the internet and can remember how
excited I was the day we brought her home. She was foaled in the
spring of 1999, sired by Excaliber of Flying W Farms. Her dam is
Flying W Farms Moment in Time. Over the next two years we began to
learn the ropes of dressage and jumping together. I began eventing
and Dessa and I competed in 3 schooling shows over the next 2
years. After a year and a half break from showing while I had my
first child, we relocated to North Carolina. Dessa and I got back
to work, and we competed in our first recognized horse trial in two
years at Lumber River Horse Trials at the Carolina Horse Park.
Dessa is a brilliant cross-country horse and we had our first double
clear stadium round. The last four and a half years have been an
amazing journey for me. I could not ask for a kinder, more willing
partner than Dessa. And I can only think that the best is yet to
come!
